Doodles Away
Hello,
August has come, and is almost gone! I am still doodling; however Amigurumi Animal Crocheting has peaked my interest. If I ever finish a project, I will be sure to post a picture!
The above are too caricatures, on recycled paper. Simply having fun in the summer.
Happy Tuesday!

One of my favorites
Hello
I am having so much fun with my caricatures. I start out with a colored pencil, then I outline with my sharpie. Adding lines and such for dimension. Then it is coloring time.
I folded this paper and added sharpie on the other side of the creases, and allowed it to bleed through. Something new, and I will be trying it again, with colored sharpies next time.
This is one of my favorites so far. It may just end up on my wall, in a frame. I like when I finish something and it puts a smile on my face.
Happy Thursday,
Tanya

2 Doodles and TGIF
Hello,
Doodles again on scrap envelopes and paper pieces. I am really enjoying the daily activity of quick sketching, with the occasional urge to color.
Happy Friday,
Tanya

Doodles on Scraps
Hello
My youngest was getting her hair done last night, so I grabbed a pencil, marker and piece of paper out of my bag. I really think their may be a kitchen sink in my shoulder bag; it is full of sketching supplies.
This was my sketch for the evening. Another whimsical face. I love not having rules, nor expectations when I am simply doodling for fun.
Happy Rainy Wednesday,
Tanya

Sketchbook Draw, Cut and Paste
Hello,
On the left, I used scraps of paper from a magazine, colored the background, then used my funny dog washi tape, to create a scene.
On the right, I simply cut a funny shape into the top right corner, added some swirls and twirls, then colored and sketched until I felt I was done.
This is my 4 x 4 sketchbook. I like using it because I don't have a lot of space to work with, and creating little pages is so satisfying when time is limited.
Happy Wednesday,
Tanya

Sketchbook Throwback
Hello,
I was looking back at my winter sketchbook, and came across these two. The eye in the top picture is part of Dina Wakely's washi tape collection. The rest is paint and ink. The bottom one is a blind drawing. I drew things that I was seeing, while not looking at the paper. I love how things turn out. So very odd; but I am also so very odd.
I love the perfectly imperfect art that I create.
Happy Tuesday,
Tanya

Recycling and Sketching
Hello,
I have tons of paper scraps at home. Such as the above Children's Passport booklet we get, every time we go to the Children's Museum. They get placed on my desk, and sit there for years! So instead of buying new sketchbooks, I am using whatever I have laying around.
Again, my whimsical faces, and then doodling and adding splashes of color, paint, and washi tape. I am certainly being colorful.
Happy Tuesday!

Sketching and Carving on Scraps
Hello
Here is another sketch/carving on a piece of scrap wood. Owls always make an appearance in the winter months, on my drive to and from work. The knot in the wood looked like a beak; thus the owl inspiration.
I had a busy and odd weekend. A sick dog on Friday (due to me treating him to boiled beef), the husband was away, a hair cut apt for one daughter, and trying to find 2 grad dresses for both daughters.
Now it is Monday, and a new week is upon us.
Happy Last Week in May!

Sketching on Wood Scraps
Hello,
I decided to try sketching on some of the wood scraps that find their way onto the loading dock at work. I love drawing whimsical faces, like the above. This is my first attempt, and am excited to put her on my wall.
If I decide I don't like her, I can always use her for kindling during one of our summer fires at the cottage.
Happy Friday!

Sketching like a Mad Woman
Hello,
I have been sketching like a madwoman lately. These are all in my 4x4 "The Back Pocket" book. I have not bee posting, as I have not been in a card making mood. But I have decided for 2018 to show you all my Random Acts of Krafting. Feel free to send comments, or simply say hi! I would love to hear from those of you in blog land.
Happy Friday,
Hugs,
Tanya
