For my Sisters 19th Birthday

I kicked my DH off the computer for 5 minutes. I am excited to get this one up. I was going to stitch on card, but when I added the brads, I did not want to add anything else that would distract from Miss Anya. She is simply adorable! Just like my sister.

I hope my sister enjoys her card, I got her a butterfly for the charm bracelet I got for her graduation last year.

It is funny, now that I look at the card I can see little things I would change, but that is the best part of this hobby. One can always improve oneself, and have fun doing it.

Have a great day, and let us hope the sun comes out again.

Fathers and Daughters

Here is a tank that my daughters painted and put together with their Daddy! It is fun watching them craft.

I had a great craft day yesterday, and completed a card for my Sister's 19th birthday, I will photograph that soon and post it for you. I just wanted to share some of the other artwork that is around our house.

Happy Monday!

P.S. Thanks to Jenn and Sheena, who made me feel totally at home yesterday.

Happy Thursday!

My week off is almost over. But I have enjoyed being around my little girls, without the rush.

Well, this is a simple card. I am actually having a good hair week, but I thought this would be a fun card to send to someone, just to make them smile. I will have to randomly open my address book and pick a name.

I spent today playing hooky with my husband. We went cloth shopping. It was fun, and we got to hold hands and just chat, all day long. Lucky me.

A work in progress: Completed!

Ok, I feel really bad about the blurry photo, so I am posting a new photo. Here is the card I worked on during Tash's Crop for a Cure, on May 2cd. I am really loving the Doodlefactory stamps and the prismacolor/gamsol thing. It is very relaxing. I got a "Wow, Good Coloring Mommy" from my 4 year old. That made my night, considering she is already a better colorer than me!

The paper is Sassafras Lass, and the cardstock is SU. I used pop up dots on the mountain tops, and to bring out the princess. I made the sun shiny, using my Sakura Glaze pens. (I have to figure out how put this info in a footnote, but I can save that for a rainy day.)

I am bringing my little one to the Doctors, as she has a swollen toe. She went up almost 2 sizes in shoes, so I am hoping that the swelling will now go away, since we have new shoes for her!

Have a great Wednesday.

Here is a very simple card I made with a CTMH stamp set, when I was just starting my coloring obsession.
I used KI paper, SU ink, ribbon and cardstock. I have more to post, but have to take pictures of them. My DH just finished our photo booth.

Have a great Tuesday!

P.S The picture is rather blurry, sorry.

Card for a Friend

Here is a card I made for a friend. The image was stamped using Stazon ink, using a Hero Art stamp, colored with my Prisma's and blended with Gamsol. I got the saying from a Stampin up set.

I chose Sassafrass Lass paper and SU cardstock embossed with a Fiskars texture plate.

I thought the white was too drastic, so I took a Very Vanilla ink pad and daubbed it around the edges to soften the white cardstock.

Hope you like looking at her as much as I liked making her.

Thanks for looking, T :)

My First Post!

This is a card I made for my Mother, for Mother's day of course. I used a Whiff of Joy stamp, stamped with CTMH Archival Ink, 3 Bugs paper, Stampin Up ribbon and Prisma Color Pencils blended with Gamsol. I took some of my SU buttons and used my diamond glaze to adhere paper to the background. Please let me know if you think I have forgotten to mention something, I am VERY new at this.

I hope you like my artwork, better yet, I hope my Mom likes it.

Happy Mother's Day one and all.
