CPS Card Sketch #164

Good Evening,

Getting ready to do inventory at work tomorrow. Not a fun thing, counting syringes, tubing, pipettes, beakers, chemicals etc. I won't bore you with the full list, instead I will show you a card I made for a friend of mine who is expecting soon.

Looking for inspiration, I found the CPS Sketch #164, and gave it a go. What do you think? He is one happy and chubby baby, that is for sure. He can be found at Michelle's Scrapbooking and More, again one of the many fabulous Pixie Cottage stamps.

Have a great evening,
Hugs
Tanya

P.S. Going to throw this one into the Stamp Something Charmed challenge as well.

The Pixie Cottage Challenge #16-Lots of Flowers and/or Sketch

Good Morning,

This weeks "Take your Pick" challenge at The Pixie Cottage is Lots of Flowers and/or a sketch challenge. Jacque from Jacque's Magnolias has provided us with this beautiful sketch, and I just had to try and use as many different flowers as possible. I started by choosing the floral design paper, then moved on to the acrylic flowers and the floral brads. I then cut out some of the flowers in the design paper and added some jeweled flowers to finish the card off.

This is one of the New Pixie Cottage Stamps available at Michelle's Scrapbooking and More. So far there are 3 "Girls of the World" stamps in this series, and each one is adorable.

I can not wait to see how many flowers you can get on your creations and if you choose to tackle both topic and sketch for The Pixie Cottage Challenge #16.

Hugs
Tanya

Practical Scrappers Button Challenge

Good Morning,

This weeks Practical Scrappers Challenge is all about Buttons! How many, how big, in how many different ways? It is being left up to you to WOW us with your Buttons. I am rather excited to see the variety in this challenge. Buttons were a toy for me growing up. Every year when I went to stay with my Oma for the summer, I would raid her sewing room and start organizing the buttons. I think there is a "Stash" gene in my genetic background because boy did Oma love her baubles.

I sat down to make my card for this weeks Practical Scrappers Button Challenge with Sheena on the brain. I wanted to make her a FABULOUS birthday card, and I hope I succeeded. I inked up my new Hannah with Butterflies stamp, took out my SGD April kit, and decided on this soft paper. I turned my large clear buttons into matching embellishments as I wanted the main focus to remain on Hannah. I just had to add the ghost butterflies to finish it off, one of the many things in my stash that have been waiting to be used.

Get those buttons out ladies,
Hugs
Tanya

P.S.
"Hannah with Butterflies" is one of Sandra Hammer's Pixie Cottage stamps found at Michelle's Scrapbooking and More. I enjoy the fact that there is some mystery about her, as she is always looking away from us. I always wonder what she may be thinking.

The Winner is ........

I took all the comments, deleted 1 due to spam, and omitted one as it was a double entry, and ended up with 30 people. I entered the numbers into the Random.Org generator and the lucky winner is

#11! Deanne @ Three Trees please email ruddtanya@gmail.com with your address and I will send you my Birthday Candy.

Congratulations,
Hugs
Tanya

P.S. May marks my 1 year bloggaversary, and I am working on getting another yummy birthday package together. Stay tuned.......

TGF Royal Battle- Sheena's His and Her entry VOTE PLEASE!

Good Morning,

The Greeting Farm's "Royal Battle" is in the final round. Sheena being the last of our team came up with the above boxes, made ALL BY HAND! The Ian box is a trading card box, and Anya's is a trinket box. Are these not FABULOUS! Sheena also got the stomach flu and still finished her project. I am planning of taking her out for something sweet when she feels up to it. BRAVO Sheena!

Ok, what I need from you all is to head over to The Greeting Farm's Blog, and VOTE! This time it is much easier. They will be posting a poll, and all you have to do is click a button. Hopefully you will vote for ours. Please? There is only 1 day to vote, that is 24 hours. So please take a moment to do so, we have all worked so hard and would love the chance to win this challenge.

Here are some individual shots of the boxes, and I hope you drop in to Sheena's Blog and deliver some verbal TLC, she so deserves it. She has a breakdown of all the hard work and details that went into this.

Thanks Ladies!

Candy

*****This candy is now closed. The winner will be announced Monday April 26th, 2010.

It is my belly button birthday tomorrow, so I thought I would send out a present to one lucky follower. All you have to do is spread the word (sidebar link is fine), become a follower if you wish, and leave me a comment. I will package this up and pick a winner on April 25th, 2010.

It is not necessary to become a follower, but it sure does make it easier for you to see if you win. Please be sure to leave a comment though, that is how I will randomly pick a winner.

Hugs
Tanya

P.S. There are a couple of other dates that I celebrate throughout the year that mark fundamental life changes that I term birthdays as well. So the the term "belly button birthday denotes my actual birthday. Sorry for the confusion ladies. LOL!

The Pixie Cottage Challenge #14-Sketch and/or Mother's Day

Good Morning,

The above is my take on this weeks "Take your Pick" challenge at The Pixie Cottage. You can use the sketch and/or make a Mother's Day/Special Lady card. I have done both.

I have used ArTish's Barnie in Spring stamp, which can be found at Michelle's Scrapbooking and More. I wanted to incorporate the word Mom somehow, so I decided to use these stickers and add them to brads for the flower centers. Of course I had to make his nose shiny, as most healthy animals have wet noses. And wouldn't you know it, that is the first thing my 3 1/2 year old commented on.

Michelle's Scrapbooking and More is having a sale that ends April 22, 2010. All purchases made using the discount code MOVING all in capitals, will recieve 20% off your entire purchase (excluding Buyers Club Merchandise).

This delicious paper was part of my Scrappin Great Deals April kit. I love how the dark browns pop out. Not to mention how the dark stitching helps fill the white space in that area.

Have a wonderful day, and I can't wait to see what you create for this weeks Once Upon a Wednesday Challenge at The Pixie Cottage.

Hugs

Happy Birthday!

So many Birthdays this month, so little time. This is my creation for Sweet Pea Stamps Customer Blog Hop. We were asked to create a Birthday Card , and so I decided to use The Gum Drop Gang Plate #14 .

I wanted to say Happy Birthday Rinne! Her Birthday is April 21st, and I hope you all drop in and wish her a Happy Birthday. FYI this is not your card, I want yours to be a surprise, so you will have to wait until the mailman delivers it. Oh and Sheena, I am still working on yours (the shame), and am nearly finished.

Hugs
Tanya

Practical Scrappers Floss, Fiber & Ribbon Challenge

Good Morning,

This is my card for this weeks Practical Scrappers - Floss, Fiber & Ribbon challenge. My favorite size of ribbon has to be 5/8" as this is the size that makes large lovely bows. I also enjoy using twine, as I find it adds a rustic charm to a project. To keep this card simple, I just had to take some of the design paper and create my own embellishments with them, a very cheap way to finish off a card! You can't see it from this angle but I even popped up the trees.

Speaking of trees, the Three Tree Trio image you see on this card is one of the many FAB digital stamps that can be found at Creations by Penny online store. She is currently accepting applications for persons who wish to be on her design team, click HERE for the details.

Have a wonderful day ladies, and I can't wait to see what you come up with for this weeks Practical Scrappers Floss, Fiber and Ribbon Challenge.

Hugs,
Tanya

P.S. Every year on this date I set new goals for myself. This year I plan to focus more on my family, and less on the small things. I plan to grow more comfortable in my skin, and to continue living a healthy lifestyle. I also plan to start a list of things I want to accomplish in the next 10 years, maybe post a few of them on my blog.

Happy Birthday Jordan!

My niece celebrated her 10th birthday this month, and we all chipped in to get her a guitar. What a wonderful thing for a girl to be interested in, not to mention she has even gone to her very first lesson, which show dedication. I used Mary's Sketch over at The Greeting Farm to create this fun birthday card. I wanted to make something super cool, I hope I succeeded. I want to thank my friend Sheena, she inspired me to use 3 buttons on this card. Over the Easter holidays she made some wicked cards and they all had slightly different ways to use buttons.

The design paper for this card was from Scrappin Great Deals February scrapbooking kit. Thanks ladies for making the chore of choosing matching papers very easy.

Have a great Monday,
Hugs
Tanya

P.S Sweet Pea Stamps had a challenge this month asking us to use an "odd" embellishment on our ATC. I have continued this theme on this card by using a real guitar pick in the center of the bow.

Practical Scrappers Sketch Friday

Good Morning Ladies,
I had to make my youngest an 8x8 page for her book, and wanted to make one using the fabulous Easter 2010 pictures, that depict a warm and sincere "Sister Moment". The above sketch is Practical Scrappers Sketch Friday, and I want to thank Lucy Chesna for providing a sketch that helped me get my daughter's page done.

Have a great weekend ladies, hope to see what you can do with this sketch. Be sure to enter HERE.

The Pixie Cottage Challeng #14

Good Morning ladies,

This weeks "Take your Pick" challenge at The Pixie Cottage is to use Priscilla's Sketch and/or buttons on your creations. Yes, you read that correctly, from now on you will be able to choose what you create for the new weekly challenge. You can use the sketch provided, the topic provided, or both like I did for this card.

Priscilla (Midnight Madness) is this weeks Pixie Cottage Guest Artist, and I just loved using her sketch, which is displayed below. I also decided to use buttons in the middle of the flowers, and left the threads sticking out to look like stamens.

This cute little bunny is one of the new Pixie Cottage Stamps, illustrated by Alisa Ramirez, is called Buffy the bunny and Little Chick. It can be purchased at Michelle's Scrapbooking and More.

Have a wonderful day, and don't forget to enter to win the Pixie Cottage Candy. Better hurry though, the Candy store closes shop April 15, 2010

Practical Scrappers Bling Challenge

This weeks challenge at Practical Scrappers is to use glitter/bling on your creations. I colored the castle in, then took my VersaMark pen and outlined the castle, adding Jeweled Gold embossing powder to add some bling to my card. I like the texture of this embossing powder, it is gritty like sand should be.

I used the Sandcastle digital stamp from Creations by Penny , they are Practical Scrappers April Sponsor. Please drop in and see her fabulous shop, she has some very original and fresh digital stamps, along with some very nice pictures of projects using them.

I have to enter this into Inky Impressions Charm Challenge this week, I have had these charms for 5 years and finally got around to using them. Can anyone relate?

Happy Tuesday everyone,
Hugs
Tanya

P.S.. You still have 5 days to enter your submissions if you wish to be on the Practical Scrappers Design Team, read all the details HERE.

Sweet Pea April Challenge

Sweet Pea's April Customer Card Challenge:
1. Using ONLY Sweet Pea Stamps,
2. Create an ATC (2.5" x 3.5") Card.
3. Use Purple and Pink.
4. Include an 'Odd' Embellishment.
Upload and add the link to your blog here during the week of April 11-17.

Here is my take on this weeks Sweet Pea challenge. When I first read it I was drinking a Diet Coke, and the idea to take the tab and use it as my "Odd embellishment" jumped out at me. This is the second ATC I have done, I may end up with a whole set as they are super fun to do.

The Sweet Pea Stamps used here were from the Seasons of Fantasy Plate 23 and the Gum Drop Gang plate 14.

Please note: Sweet Pea Stamps is having a Customer Blog Hop on April 20th, 2010. If you want to participate, you must make a birthday/anniversary card using a Sweet Pea Stamp image as the main focal point. Click on the link above to read more about it.

Team International Ink- My 12x12 layout for Challenge #3

Good Morning,

I have been working on this since Wednesday, and this is the final product. Our team International Ink has made it into round 3 of The Greeting Farm's "Royal Battle". This weeks challenge is to create an 8x8 or 12x12 layout using one of The Greeting Farm stamps.

I was voted in to do the challenge, and stayed up way to late 3 days in a row in order to make my team proud. I used Miss Anya Dressy for my stamps, and the sentiment from an older set called "For Someone". I had to alter one of the Miss Anya's as I wanted to have her sitting as well. In the end, I had a lot of fun, and the stress and hard work was worth it. Not to mention my team reminding me that I would at least end up with a wonderful layout for my daughter's scrapbook.

Now, I would like to ask if you could all head over HERE, and vote for your 3 favorite layouts. Some teams are bribing their followers with candy and such, but our team wants to keep it real. If you think mine is one of the top 3, then by all means please vote for it. We are asking you to be honest. (Some of you will have to create and account to do so, and then log in and use the above link to start voting.)

Have a great day, and for those of you who take the time to vote, Team International Ink appreciates it.

Hugs
Tanya

P.S. The scrumptious paper is from my Scrapping Great Deals March kit. The ruffled trim is from Fabricland, and the Robin's Nest dew drops are from Michelle's Scrapbooking and More.

Easel Card and a Tutorial Video

Good Morning,

I have been crafting up a storm lately and here is one of the fun cards I made. It is my VERY FIRST easel card. Had I known how easy they were, I would not have waited so long. I was asked by Practical Scrappers to do a Tutorial on how I use my Copic Markers, if you wish to see it please go HERE. Keep in mind this is my very first video tutorial as well, I am still learning and by no means a pro.

So now that I have shared some of the new and exciting things I have been up to, I would love to hear what you have been doing. Have you been working on anything new, a new technique, a new medium, etc?

Happy Saturday Ladies,
Hugs
Tanya
P.S. My blog friend Beth just let me know that this qualifies for the Inky Impressions Charm challenge this week. Thanks Beth!

The Pixie Cottage Challenge #13 Sketch and Embossing (Wet or Dry)

Good Morning!

Today is my first official day as a Senior Design Team Member for The Pixie Cottage. I have been a fan of these stamps since Michelle's Scrapbooking and More came out with them in September 2009, and I am so grateful that I now get to create with the other wonderful Pixies on this Design Team.

This weeks "take your pick"challenge is to use any type of Embossing on your creations and/or use the sketch provided. I used the sketch, dry embossing for the circle behind this bathing beauty, and wet embossing on the bubbles in the bathtub to make them look wet. You can find this Bubblelicious Digital stamp here.

I urge you to check out The Pixie Cottage blog, there is delicious Candy being offered this week. On April 15th, 2010 three lucky winners will get a stamp of their choice. All you have to do is leave a message stating what New Release Stamp is your favorite! You can also access this candy on my sidebar.

I hope I've done The Pixie's proud and I look forward to seeing your entries this week. Please note the change, The Pixie Cottage will now be having weekly "take your pick" challenges.

Hugs to you all,
Tanya

Practical Scrappers Marker Challenge

Hello Ladies,

The challenge this week at Practical Scrappers is to use your markers! I have used my Copic markers to color in this adorable stamp from 2cuterubberstamps. The wonderful thing about Copics is the ability to layer the markers. I used the same color markers for the hat and the shirt, but purposely layered them to make the hat come out darker.

I currently purchase my Copic markers from Michelle's Scrapbooking and More. I find she has a wide range of colors, and the prices are fantastic. The colors I used for this image are:

Skin Tone: E000, E11, E01, E00
Hair: E09, E33
Clothes: R08, R14, R27, Y38

What types of markers do you prefer ladies? Be sure to use them and link them up to this weeks challenge. The winner will be receiving 5 free digital stamps from Creations By Penny.

Hugs
Tanya

P.S. Practical Scrappers is looking for some new Design Team Members. Should you be interested, please read the details in my previous post, or go here.

As you can see, Rinne has used all of the latest and greatest trends on her card. I personally LOVE the fabric cloud paper on the top of the card, not to mention the wonderfully colored Anya.

Happy Easter Basket

Was today not the best day? It was warm, my girls had rosy cheeks from playing outside in the wonderful sunshine, and we even got to decorate Easter eggs at Grandma's.

I put together this basket to show off Karlye and Jayme's handmade Easter eggs. The darling Pixie Cottage Stamp ( Chickadee-da-dum by Artish) can be found at Michelle's Scrapbooking and More.

The basket was handmade too, I got the template for it here, and must say it was super easy. The hardest part about this project was cutting out my image. I am going to make a few more, but have my girls color them in, and then we will gift them to our family members on Sunday.

Fussy and Fancy Friday's Challenge
is all about Easter, I am going to pop this one into Mr. Linky for sure.

Happy Easter, and enjoy all this wonderful sunshine,
Hugs,
Tanya
