PaperWorks Co. Recipe Friday Challenge

Good Morning,

Welcome to this weeks PWCO Recipe Friday Challenge. Our recipe for you is Child's Play- Make a children's card (sport/toy/child image)and use Primary Colours!

For my entry, I used Zach The Football Player from the PaperWorks Co. Sport Series set. In order to keep the card boyish (meaning not too pretty), I stuck with primary colored cardstock. Too finish the card of, I took out my old school Dymo labeler and added "Fun Times" as my sentiment. All that is left is to find someone to send this too.

Won't you participate ladies? You don't have to use PWCO stamps, although we love it when you do. As long as you follow the recipe, it's all good! Oh, and as a reward for using a PWCO, you will get an extra ballot/extra chance at becoming the winner at the end of the month.

Be sure to check in tomorrow when all the PWCO DT gals have a surprise in store for you. Yup, we will have a little something for you all, in order to celebrate World Card Making Day 2011.

Well, that's it for me.
Happy Friday,
Hugs,
Tanya

PaperWorks Co. 100th Sketch Challenge

Good Morning,

Welcome to our PaperWorks Co. Wednesday Sketch Challenge. This week we are celebrating our 100th Sketch! Woohoo. I hope you all decide to play along. Remember, using a PWCO doubles your chances of winning, but is not required.  Playing along with this sketch will get you a ballot for the the BIG BLING prize package.

I kept my card pretty simple. Out came my PWCO Safari Friends stamps and I just had to ink up Zoie the Zebra. What I love about this guy is that you don't have to ink him up very much, he is quite striking.  I also have to gush about the co-ordintating Safari Friends sentiment stamps. It is nice to have a variety of sentiments to pick from, that coordinate with the stamps.  I am all about being "matchy matchy' lately.

Did you know that PWCO offers you a discount if you purchase the Safari Friends Bundle?  Yup, now that is super sweet.

Have a great week ladies,
Hugs,
Tanya

The Pixie Cottage Challenge #89

Good Morning,

We welcome this Wednesday with The Pixie Cottage Challenge #89.  This is my sketch ladies, and the Pixie Cottage theme is POP IT UP.  Will you tackle the theme, the sketch, or both?  I just love surprises, and can't wait to see what you all create.

This week I used my  Crawling Cassie Pixie Cottage stamp.  She is available, along with the sentiment at Michelle's Scrapbooking and More.  I wanted to keep the card pretty simple because I was trying to focus all the visual attention on Baby Cassie.  I paper pieced her diaper and bow, and then popped up her head.  So the card is 2D.   One of the things I enjoyed about making this card was adding some chalk around the patterned paper, the pink really helps balance out the bold pink ribbon, and frames Crawling Cassie.

Happy Wednesday,
Hugs,
Tanya

Challenges this qualifies for are:
All Sorts: Keep it Simple
2 Sisters: Gingham or Plaid
Simon Says Stamp: Anything Goes
Heart Song Inspirations: Use ribbon and/or tag

PWCO Recipe Friday

Good Morning,

It is Friday, and that means we have a new PWCO Recipe Challenge for you. This week on the PaperWorks Co. blog, our challenge is a photo inspirational challenge. Take a look at this beauty, are you inspired?
Please play along ladies, all you have to do is use the inspiration the photo creates and turn it into a project. You can play along without using a PWCO stamp, however if you do chose to use a PaperWorks Co stamp you will get an extra ballot at the end of the month.

I chose to use the PWCO Abigail C- He loves me stamp for my image.  I picked out my papers based on the leaves, and picked up on the green tones more than the orange.  I incorporated the oranges in my matting however my card is by no means as bright as the gorgeous photo.  But theme wise, I think I managed well.

I am eager to see what you all create.  Happy Krafting!

Hugs,
Tanya

The Pixie Cottage Challenge

Good Morning,

Are you ready for this weeks Pixie Cottage Challenge #88!  We have a super cool sketch for you, and our theme is a recipe of sorts. The recipe being  - BUTTONS, BOWS and BRADS.

I used the NEW Pixie Cottage "Best Hugs" stamp from Michelle's Scrapbooking and More, to create this cuddly card. Not only did I follow the sketch, but I incorporated the theme as well. I have brads in the centers of the flowers, the bumble bee on the twine is a button, and of course my bow is a twine bow. I can feel the love just by looking at them, can't you?

On the technical side of things I used Copics B00, E17, E18 and E19.  I started by adding the blue background, then took my cloth and blender solution and removed some of the color.   I  proceeded to take my blender pen and  go about  the image in a dabbing motion to create even  more of a speckled look. I then  went and colored the bears.  I wanted them to be fuzzy,  so I textured them with different zig zag types of strokes using all three colors. I like how their fur turned out, a first try for me using this technique.

What will you create for this weeks challenge?   Don't be shy, no need to use Pixie Cottage stamps if you do not have them, you simply have to follow the sketch and/or the theme, and you could be chosen to win some of your very own Pixie Cottage stamps.

Don't forget The Pixie Cottage has a Design Team call up.  It closes October 1st, 2011.  Read all about it HERE!

Happy Krafting ladies,
Hugs
Tanya

PaperWorks Co. Recipe Friday Challenge

Good Morning,

We have a FAB FAB FAB recipe challenge for you today over at PaperWorks Co.! Get ripping ladies, distress you creations, and add some lace and pearls.

I took out Garden Fresh Abigail, and then went to town with my distressing. Gardening is by no means a tidy and clean event, so I think the look of the card goes with how one looks/feels after gardening on a hot summers day. I added a tad of lace ribbon, and then incorporated some pearls. I had to give Abigail some pearl earrings too!

What will you come up with? ANYONE can participate, as long as you follow the recipe. If you use a PWCO image, then you double your chances of winning. So I really hope to see some of my fab followers playing along this month. Yup, you read that correctly, you have the whole month to enter your PWCO Recipe Friday challenge masterpiece.

Happy Friday,
Hugs
Tanya

Welcome to The Pixie Cottage Challenge #87. Our theme this week is Fussy and Fancy. Don't forget you can choose to use our sketch as well. We like to leave it totally up to you, and yes, you can even choose to follow both the theme and the sketch.

I chose to use this lovely new Pixie Cottage Cupcake Set rubber stamp, which comes with this sentiment and one other. It is now available at Michelle's Scrapbooking and More.  After coloring these yummy images, I find myself craving a decadent chocolate cupcake for sure!

I am excited to see what you all come up with for this challenge ladies.  Hope to see you playing along with The Pixies.

PaperWorks Co. Recipe Friday Challenge

Photo Inspiration Challenge
Good Morning,

This weeks PaperWorks Co. Recipe Friday is a Photo Inspirational Challenge. Please take a look at the fab fab fab photo above. How can you resist playing along? Oh, and ladies you DO NOT have to use a PWCO image to play along, however when you do your chances at winning doubles!

I recently acquired the PWCO Safari Friends set, along with the  matching sentiments, and the photo above reminds me a bit of the costumes from The Lion King.  So......Out came Lucas the Lion with his "I'm not lion, I think your great!" sentiment.  I chose my papers because the brown, golden yellow and turquoise really stood out in this photo.  I cut 6 squares and sewed them together, trying to mimic the fabric, the circle die was inspired by the round handles, and the gold button on the right was added and inspired by the gold token on the purse above.  The total shape of the card is self explanatory, or so I think.  I did not get to incorporate the blues, nor the greens in my card, but a photo inspirational challenge is just that, you take what inspires you, and you go with it.

Hopefully I have inspired you to play along.  Happy Friday!
Hugs,
Tanya

Pixie Cottage Challenge #86

Good Morning,

Welcome to another "Once Upon A Wednesday" Pixie Cottage Challenge #86. Our theme is MELLOW YELLOW. We have also provided the sketch above for you. Feel free to use both, or split the challenge up. As long as you have fun, it's all good.

I used Hannah on A Swing, a Pixie Cottage stamp available at Michelle's Scrapbooking and More.  I think this is one versatile stamp that is perfect for Summer, Spring or Fall, depending on how you color the leaves in the tree. I trimmed the image up a bit to make it fit on the card, adding clear chunky glitter around it, and continued on to add ribbon, baubles, pearls and pins. This card is my last attempt to hold on to the wonderful sunshine we have been blessed with this summer.  Althought I have to admit, I love the fall season, simply because wearing sweaters and jeans are amongst my favorite thing.  How about you?  What season do you prefer?

Have a wonderful day ladies,
Hugs,
Tanya

Good Morning,

Here is my creation for September's first PaperWorks Co. Friday Recipe Challenge.  The recipe challenge this week is  ABC.

A-any image B-blooms C-Charm

This card started with me picking out these fabulous blooms from my May PWCO Papercard kit.  I wanted to make it look like Frisbee was out playing in a field full of blooms.  I can picture him running through them to catch his toy and uprooting the flowers into the air, can you?

Did you know that each PWCO Papercard kit comes to you with color coordinated paper, cardstock and embellishments, so finding matching paper for each creation is EASY PEASY! (Not to mention affordable.  Where else can you find kits for $11.99 that are full of crafty goodness!)

We hope you play along this month.  As long as you use a PWCO image, you will be entered into the monthly draw to win Two PWCO stamps OR September's Papercard kit.

Happy Krafting,

Having Fun!

Hello

I've been playing again, yup, and I really had fun with this one. Is Sammy the Snake not adorable?  Sammy is part of the PaperWorks Co. Jungle Jesters set, and I am quite smitten at the moment.  I took out my Copics and added texture, I then popped up some of the design paper.  I think it makes it look like Sammy is slithering his way through the trees.  The rest is self explanatory, I simply went about adding color, layers, jewels and such.

Well today is Thursday, and that is one day away from the long weekend!   Do any of you have plans?  I think we are headed out to the Perth Fair, for fun, rides, fresh air and Family time.

Enjoy your day, Happy Krafting, and see you tomorrow with a new PWCO Recipe Friday Challenge.

Hugs,
Tanya
